As part of the Health Insurance Portability and
Accountability Act of 1996, the federal government has
established a set of rules for covered entities under HIPAA.
These rules cover privacy and confidentiality of health care
information and security procedures for confidential health
information. While the government continues to revise
HIPAA requirements, employees must complete HIPAA
training on privacy and confidentiality regulations by April
13, 2003. The Road to Recovery, Inc. is HIPAA and
|Road to Recovery Funding Sources
The Road to Recovery is a private-for-profit professional counseling agency. As such, it
does not receive any type of local, state, or federal government grants from any public or
private source. Thus, the Road to Recovery is able to serve all patients which pay for their
services without utilizing tax-payer dollars. Nonetheless, the Road to Recovery does not
deny services for inability to pay. All services provided at Reduced or at No-Cost are
donated as Pro-Bono work by the Road to Recovery without any form of reimbursement.
Reduced fees and payment plans are provided for individuals who qualify for these
benefits. Financial hardship cases are handled on a case-by-case basis. Full and Partial
scholarships are considered when requested directly by a sentencing judge for a case
under special or unusual circumstance.
In some instances, the Road to Recovery refers cases of individuals who are experiencing
long-term financial difficulties to non-profit 501 (c) (3) agencies, organizations recipients
of subsidies, private and public funding to provide short-term and long-term behavioral
health services at no cost or low cost to indigent individuals and families.
We accept cash, Visa and MasterCard credit/debit cards and money orders.

The Road to Recovery is a behavioral health practice with full-service clinics located in
Atlanta, East Point, and Marietta. Psychological services, Outpatient substance abuse
treatment and behavioral health programs are provided in English and Spanish by
experienced, licensed and certified, bilingual and bi-cultural mental health professionals.
